Q: Do you have a studio?
A: We chose to come to you rather than asking you to come to us. Instead of having you to come to a studio, we let you choose the location for your photo shoot.

Q: Will my children cooperate? What if my newborn isn’t asleep for the session?
A: Many parents share this concern, but there’s no need to worry. Please read through the preparation guidelines (link to blog), and remember that even if there’s chaos behind the scenes, our photographers excel at capturing picture perfect moments.

Q: What happens if I need to reschedule because my baby is unwell or I have an emergency?
A: Life is unpredictable, we understand. All we ask is 24 hours notice.

Q: Who will our photographer be?
A: Our photographers, all of whom are women, are highly experienced professionals with backgrounds in art. They’re trained to work with children.

Q: What lighting do you need for the session?
A: We use natural light, which is best for photographing your baby. We ask you to check the light in your home beforehand and to find the best spot for natural light at the time of the session.

Q: When is the best time for a session?
A: There are two deciding factors. First, your baby should be fed and rested. Second, the light is important! Mornings tend to be the best time for indoor shoots, and it’s best to shoot outdoors in the late afternoon, just before and just after sunset.

Q: How do I schedule a hospital photography session?
A: You should contact us around the start of your third trimester, then text us when you are admitted to the hospital so we can schedule your session. It is best to avoid scheduling a session on the day after your delivery, or on the day you leave the hospital.

Q: What is the best time for a newborn photography session?
A: Any day is a special day to capture your brand new bundle of joy, but the first 14 days are best because newborns are typically asleep most of the time and their bodies can still bend into the fetal position, which is ideal for posing.

Q: When is the best time for a maternity photography session?
A: Definitely the third trimester.

Q: Will my photographs look as professional as studio photography?
A: Your images will be better because you’ll be more relaxed in the comfort of your own home. We don’t have the same control over the lighting as we would in a studio, but this has never posed a problem.

Q: I’ve seen some very interesting poses for babies in pictures online. Do you do that?
A: We do pose the baby, but our emphasis is on photographing your baby’s natural gorgeousness. We find that very extreme poses can be too demanding for the baby.

Q: What does the cost of my session cover?
A: Travel time, session time, edit time, prints, high-resolution files and copyright over images.

Q: What styles do you use?
A: Lifestyle, natural and posed, (but only smile poses for babies depending on the baby’s age and cooperation).

Q: What backgrounds do you use?
A: We have carefully selected fabric for newborn pictures. We also use certain backdrops, but we rely on space to add depth to your images.

Q: Do you provide and use any props?
A: Yes, but we choose them very carefully so they don’t clash with skin tones (particularly your newborn’s). Check out our profile or Instagram for samples. We also encourage our clients to use their own items to add a special personal touch to their images.

Q: Do you use Adobe Photoshop to edit your images?
A: Our approach is to provide high-quality images that are as natural as possible. We may use Photoshop for skin retouching, lighting correction, and image adjustment to deliver a polished high-end image, but we don’t use Photoshop for extreme changes like changing color and removing objects. Q: How long will it take for me to receive my pictures?
A: Not more than 10 days. You’ll receive a USB and any other merchandise you choose. If there’s any reason that delivery will take longer, we’ll always inform you.

Q: Do you cover other events?
A: Our focus is on family photography, particularly maternity photography, newborn photography and child photography. However, feel free to call us, and we will do our best to assist you.

Q: Where do we meet?
A: We’ll come to you. Just let us know your location and preferred time, and our photographer will be there.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Comfort is very important. Avoid stripes, colors that are too bold, big logos and busy patterns. You’ll be able to speak to your photographer before the session for additional guidance. Please refer to our Pinterest page.

Q: Can I post the photos on my blog or Facebook?
A: Of course! They’re your property. We ask you to consider crediting Zoom In and to tag our page on Facebook and Instagram if you repost.

Q: Will you use my photos to promote your company without my consent?
A: NEVER. We would only use your photographs for commercial purposes if we have your consent in a mutually signed agreement. Please review our Terms and Conditions regarding the protection of your privacy.

Q: How do I schedule a session?
A: Call us on 800 ZOOMIN (966646) or email info@zoominphotography.com and we’ll help you choose the right package and make the necessary bookings. Newborn/Hospital sessions can be booked the day after delivery and we can do the photo shoot in the hospital.
